The Verdict

A proper old-school caff just off the top of Mare Street - classic decor, decent bacon, and brilliant big hash browns that forgive a few rough edges.

Just off the top of Mare Street with proper classic decor, including those chairs attached to the tables. Sausages are on the cheap side quality-wise, but the bacon is solid and the hash browns are properly big and crisp - the real reason to come. Coffee is alright but there is not much choice, and the toast came out slightly soggy. The only real curveball is being served on a jarring square plate, but the great hash browns make up for it.
